The upcoming Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) is scheduled for April 11, 2013. Yes, it’s still six months away, but it’s not too soon to think about planning and preparation.

Since the OSSLT’s debut in 2002, much of how we think about and teach reading and writing has changed. More and more, reading and writing are moving online, and research is beginning to reveal how learning is affected by this shift.
